ToonDoo is a very user-friendly website for comic strip making. There are so many options when it comes to backgrounds, characters, props, etc. All you have to do is drag the image you want into the frame and the strip pretty much makes it self. I could see this site being a hit with my students, even the younger age ones. It also didn't take long to make, which means I could model for the students how to use the site, and they could also have time to start making their own in the same lesson.

The first thing I like about Pixton is that I can use my Google account to log in, which saved lots of time on creating a new account. Pixton is also pretty easy to use, however I was only given a total of six characters to choose from. Although there weren't many options when it came to characters, I was able to do so many different things with them, like change their body poses, positions, and facial expressions. I could see my fourth and fifth graders using this one more often than ToonDoo.
The first thing I thought when going to this website was that there was alot of information and graphics on this page. But after scrolling through, I realized it wasn't too bad. MakeBeliefsComix does not have as many options as the other two when it comes to characters, expressions, backgrounds, etc. However, it is very easy to use, and gives step by step instructions for each part while creating the comic. I personally would choose either ToonDoo or Pixton for my students, but I could see lots of kids loving to use this website.
In the future, I plan on using comic strips in many of my lessons. They would be a great way for me to introduce library rules, routines & procedures, as well as introduce new topics to my students. Cartoons would also be a great way for me to promote different activities and events that are taking place in the library. I am eager to share these sites with my students!
